I have a Border Collie, and I've been looking for the perfect leash for him for a long time. One that not too heavy for his weight and breed and one that's not so light that we can't communicate with each other. I've spent a lot of money on leashes I can't use that are boxed up in the garage somewhere, and finally my search is over. I love the way I'm able to coil it up when I want him close and let it out when I want to give him more space and easily clip him off and on for our off-leash walks, training and play.

Nice line for tracking - gets less tangled/caught on shrubs than my flat biothane line. Weighs less than I thought it would, which is good. Using it for a Belgian Sheepdog. My only wish is for more colors!

I’ve ordered several of their leashes over the years, and the quality is excellent. They are all still in use after nearly 9 years, but I wanted a different one for scent work. At first, I was confused when I received this latest leash because I didn’t see the brass clamps, but Palomine assured me that the brass is under the shrink tubing. They updated the leash based on customer feedback. Ironically, I have never had any of their leashes snag. I love the leashes because of how they feel and they’re easy to clean.
Karin, be assured our solid brass clamps are still securing your rope leash. We have been placing shrink tubing over our brass clamps for several months now, but have not changed our product photos. In the past, we had some customers provide feedback that the clamped end caused the leashes to snag more easily. We added shrink tubing over the clamps and ends to remedy the problem. The shrink tubing can be removed with a pair of scissors, but take extreme care not to cut into the rope material. Once you have used your new rope leash for awhile and discover it to be as durable as our others, we hope you will take the time to update your review.
